Patterns of Evolution Activity

Darwin Day is just around the corner! It’s a day when we spend a little extra time in the scientific community to appreciate Charles Darwin’s discoveries and his life’s work. It also happens to be Charles Darwin’s 208th birthday.
Darwin influenced the way the scientific community views the diversity of life and patterns of change over time among organisms. His theory of natural selection shaped the way we study evolution and his discoveries on the Galapagos Islands are still studied by students across the world today.
Sunday, February 12th is Darwin Day and we’d like to provide you with a free activity to use this week or next week. Celebrate Darwin’s work by simulating a little natural selection in your own classroom.
