Celebrate Earth Day with a Free Classroom Activity!

DOWNLOAD THE EARTH DAY ACTIVITY HERE

Earth Day first began in 1970 as a way to celebrate our planet and bring awareness to the impact humans have on the environment. This Friday, April 22 is Earth Day and we’ve got a lab activity for you to use with your classes. With this lab activity, help your students understand the dangers of pollution and the importance of recycling.

Grades 4-6: The activity will help students understand how easily water can become polluted and the tools will encourage them to think through water cleaning techniques. Students will also brainstorm ways to make an impact on their own local environments.

Grades 7-12: The tools will provide your students with a way to think through water treatment processes and engineer water filtration systems. Students will also be challenged to generate an awareness campaign related to real-life ecological crises.

Don’t forget that “Earth Day is Every Day” and have fun with your classes this week!
